Anoka County Bike to Work Week 

June 6 - 10, 2022

Celebrate our annual Bike to Work Week Celebration Monday, June 6 through Friday, June 10. Take pledge to bike to work or if you're working from home, the amount of miles you'd normally bike to work. We'll be hosting a variety of bike oriented events throughout the week so you won't want to miss this!

Please Note - The first 300 registrants will receive a FREE goodie bag and t-shirt.

Go for a solo bike ride

We encourage participants to either bike to work or map out what a route would look like to work and try to bike those miles. We can help you route out a safe trip to work.

Any employer or community partner that would like to participate will receive a free bike rack & complimentary breakfast for all employees.

Thursday, June 2 

Anoka Hennepin School  District Bike to Work Day!

Rum River Art Center Paint Night 

Bike Paint Night at Rum River Art Center at 5:30 pm

Registration is required - space is limited to 20 participants.

Rumriver Art Center is excited to bring a special paint night for the Art-A-Thon. We have partnered with Anoka Commuter Solutions for a Bike to Work Week paint night with a fun bike themed painting. Bonus if you ride your bike! Be creative and learn the benefits of riding your bike. Cost is a free will donation. This class is open to beginners and those who have painting experience. You will be given step by step directions on creating your own beautiful piece of art. Everyone will start at the same point and at the end each canvas will be very different. RRAC teaches a layer method with acrylic paint, where you create your painting by using several layers over every part of the canvas.

Bike Bingo & Bike Goodie Bags

Bike Goodie Bag Pick Up Open from Monday, June 6 through Friday, June 10

Pick up your Bike Goodie Bags from 8 am to 4:30 pm at the Anoka County Transportation Division.

Bike Bingo 

Participate in a virtual bike bingo challenge. Take photos of each of the items on your bingo card and send them into staff by email at commute-solutions@co.anoka.mn.us or use the hashtag on your Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram #AnokaCountyBikeWeek.

Go for a bike ride and meet us at the Mississippi Regional Park at Noon for a free lunch and yard games.

Wednesday, June 8

Bike Basics Safety Course 

Forgotten Star Brewery at 12 pm

Join us for an in-person Bike Safety Course with the Minnesota Bicycle Alliance starting at 12 pm. We will go over bike basics and how to change a flat tire.

Group Bike Ride and Bike Safety Checks

Coon Rapids Dam Pavilion 3 at 4:15 pm

Free Dinner & Group Bike Ride 

Join us for a group bike ride and bike safety checks. We'll be going for a 45 minute long bike ride starting at 5 pm. We'll also provide FREE Dinner starting at 4:15 pm. Food available on a first come, first serve basis. You'll have the opportunity to pick up your t-shirt and goodie bag here as well. 

Bike Safety Checks with Ramsey Bicycle

Get a free bike safety check from a bike expert from Ramsey Bicycle shop located off of Highway 10 in Ramsey. They'll make sure everything on your bike is running smoothly.

Bike to Work Day for the Anoka County Transportation Division. Free breakfast available starting at 6 am. Join us for a group bike ride at 11:30 am.
