2022 Construction Projects

Please note this week (week ending November 11, 2022) will be our final Construction Weekly for the 2022 Construction Season.    Watch for us in March/April 2023, when the 2023 Construction Season begins.

Foley Boulevard (CSAH 11) Railway Grade Separation

Project improvements include reconstruction of Foley Boulevard, from a 4-lane undivided roadway to a 4-lane divided roadway with turn lanes and multi-use trail, with an overpass at the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railroad tracks. The project will improve public safety and reduce traffic congestion on CSAH 11 by constructing the bridge over the BNSF railway.  This project is scheduled to be completed by October 2022.

Update for the Week Ending November 11:
The concrete contractor installed concrete curb at the SE radius of East River Road and 93rd Avenue.  The sewer crew completed miscellaneous watermain work, along with new sanitary sewer installation on the east side of the BNSF tracks.  The grading contractor continued to widen the parking lot area at the Metro Transit facility.

Work Scheduled for the Week Ending November 18:
Next week, the contractor will install the final lift of bituminous on 93rd Avenue and install bituminous in the Metro Transit parking lot area.

Main Street / 125th Avenue (CSAH 14) Reconstruction from Harpers Street to Lexington Avenue (CSAH 17)

This project proposes to expand the existing 2-lane roadway to a 4-lane divided roadway. Other project elements include installation of a storm drainage system, ADA enhancements, a multi-use trail, traffic signal system improvements, and other associated improvements.

Update for the Week Ending November 11:
The contractor continued to test MnDOT’s weight in motion system and install wiring for the Legacy Creek Parkway Signal system.  Due to material delays, the signal system will be in operation the last week November.  Once the signal is operational, traffic control at both North Lakes Road and Legacy Creek Parkway will be removed.
