Internships

The Anoka County Corrections Department is continually seeking and offering bachelors and masters level probation officer internships. Applicants must be 21 years of age, in their junior or senior year of an accredited four year college and pursuing a major in a human services related field. A 320 hour commitment is required with 400 hours preferred. Applicants must have a properly insured automobile and valid driver’s license. Applicants may not be under court supervision for a criminal offense and a background check will be completed prior to an offer being made.

If interested, please complete the following:

  • Internship Application (Word) - fill out, print, and mail.
  • Cover letter outlining your career objective, expectations of an internship, duration of internship and hours available.
  • Letter from your college internship coordinator stating what is expected of Anoka County Corrections.
  • Two additional letters of recommendation from professors from your current college and a current transcript.
