Recycling Ambassador Volunteer Opportunities

After training is complete, ambassadors are expected to volunteer for at least 30 hours to apply their skills toward minimizing waste and educating others about waste reduction, recycling, and composting.

Recycling Ambassadors have the option to either create their own volunteer opportunities focused on waste reduction or participate in other community events listed below. Flexibility is provided to Recycling Ambassadors to choose opportunities that suit their interests.

Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities

Multifamily Recycling Program

Refer your apartment, condo or townhome to get recycling help. Recycling Ambassadors are needed to connect Anoka County with multifamily properties. The county can provide free recycling resources, such as recycling bins, labels, tote bags, and more, through the Anoka County Multifamily Recycling Program.

Contact Recycling & Resource Solutions at 763-324-3400 or recycle@co.anoka.mn.us.

Business Recycling Program

Refer your workplace or place of worship to get recycling help, start an organics (food waste) collection program or reduce waste. The county will work with you and the organization to plan and implement waste improvements. Free recycling resources include color-coded recycling bins, labels, employee training and more. Master Recyclers can help by being a project lead and specific improvements such as labeling bins.

Sign up online to get a free, onsite assessment and learn more about free resources or contact Recycling & Resource Solutions at 763-324-3400 or recycle@co.anoka.mn.us.
