What is the Anoka County Transit Unit?

Anoka County Transit is dedicated to providing transportation service to local residents in Anoka County. 

Who We Are?

Anoka County Medlink

Medlink provides rides to and from medical, dental, and social service appointments.  Medical and dental trips may be made throughout the metro area while appointments with social services must remain within Anoka County. This is a volunteer driver program that operates during regular business hours - Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm. 

Anoka County Traveler

The Anoka County Traveler works closely with Metro Transit to provide transit services across the County. Metro Transit provides the fixed route bus services such as Bus Route 10, 801, 805, 831,850, 852, and the Northstar Commuter Rail. Anoka County Traveler provides Dial-A-Ride service called Transit Link. Transit Link is a transit service that operates where fixed route bus service isn't available. Riders contact (651) 602 - LINK and reserve a ride in advance. 

What is Commute Solutions?

Anoka County Commute Solutions is a Transportation Management Organization (TMO) that strives to reduce congestion and improve air quality by promoting transportation options. Commute Solutions was established in 2004. Commute Solutions is funded (80%) by a federal Congestion Mitigation Air Quality (CMAQ) grant, administered by the Metropolitan Council and 20% by Anoka County.

What We Do  

  • Stimulate the development and implementation of sustainable commute options programs with employers and residents. 
  • Develop, promote and implement employee and residential commute options that reduce traffic congestion, reduce carbon emissions and improve air quality.
  • Foster relationships with a broad range of employer and community groups.
  • Shape the development of infrastructure to improve mobility to, and within, Anoka County.

Anoka County Commute Solutions is dedicated to achieving reductions in traffic congestion, improving mobility and air quality, and educating employers and their employees about transportation options.
