Notice Regarding Electronic Discovery
Effective Immediately, all discovery on an electronic data storage device that is to be provided to an Anoka County Jail inmate must be sent to the Anoka County Jail through the mail or delivered in person at the visiting window.
The electronic storage device must be in an envelope, clearly marked with the inmate's name and include, "Attention: Duty Sergeant." Once received, it will be given to the Jail Programmers and a written notice will be sent to the inmate, stating that electronic discovery material has been received on their behalf and available to the inmate.
Any discovery on an electronic storage device to be delivered to an inmate during a courtroom appearance must be given to the attending bailiff with the inmate's name clearly marked on an envelope containing the data storage device. The attending bailiff will give the envelope with data storage device to Jail staff when the inmate is returned to the Jail. Once received by Jail Programmers, a written notice will be sent to the inmate, stating the electronic discovery material has been received and available to the inmate.
Electronic discovery brought in through transport from another facility will be placed in the inmate's property.
