Celebrate Earth Day in Anoka County on Friday, April 22.
This will be the 52nd Earth Day celebrated. The first Earth Day was in 1970! There's many ways to reduce your carbon footprint but we're focusing on reducing air pollution.
Did you know that both walking, biking, carpooling, and taking transit helps improve environment?
Here’s how -
- Biking and walking doesn’t pollute the air - no need to fill up on gas when your biking or walking!
- Biking and walking doesn’t create carbon dioxide
- Biking and walking reduces traffic congestion
- Biking and walking takes up less space and fewer roadways
Take the pledge to bike or walk next Friday, April 22 and you’ll receive a gift (including a plant)! Limit the first 300 registrations.
