CSAH 22 (Viking Blvd) Bridge Reconstruction

Project Summary

Project Background / Description
Anoka County, in partnership with the City of Oak Grove, is developing plans for the reconstruction of the bridge on CSAH 22 (Viking Boulevard) over the Rum River. The project will consist of reconstructing the bridge over the Rum River to provide 8-foot shoulders, as well as allow CSAH 22 to remain open to traffic through the project construction. Construction of this project is anticipated to begin in 2023 and carry through the end of 2024.
Project Goals

  • Safely accommodate all users including motor vehicles, freight, transit, pedestrians, and bicyclists;

  • Provide efficient mobility and access for all modes of travel;
