CSAH 1 (Coon Rapids Boulevard) at Mississippi Boulevard Signal Replacement

Project Summary

Project Background / Description
Anoka County, in partnership with the City of Coon Rapids, is developing a preliminary layout for replacing and updating the existing signal system at CSAH 1 (Coon Rapids Blvd) at Mississippi Boulevard, with anticipated construction in 2023. Anoka County applied for and received Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) funding for replacement and update of the signal.  The project also proposes to separate the existing left-thru lane on Mississippi Blvd which will result in two left turn lanes, one thru lane and one right turn lane.  The project will mill and overlay the remaining portion of Coon Rapids Blvd as well as both legs of Mississippi Blvd.
