Project Summary

Project Background / Description
Anoka County, in partnership with the City of Fridley, is developing plans for the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Old Central Avenue NE (CSAH 35) at Gardena Ave N.E., in order to improve safety and mobility for all road users by reducing speeds and conflict points at the intersection. This project will include ADA-compliant, pedestrian ramp accommodations at the intersection; also, a bituminous path will be added to the south side of Gardena Avenue within the project limits. The project is in the final design phase, with anticipated construction in 2023.
