Viking Boulevard (CSAH 22) from TH47 to Rum River Boulevard (CSAH 7)

Project Summary

Project Background/Description
Anoka County, in partnership with the City of Nowthen and City of Oak Grove, is developing design plans for the reconstruction of Viking Boulevard (CSAH 22) from TH 47 to Rum River Boulevard (CSAH 7).

Viking Boulevard is a critical Minor Arterial that runs east-west, the only one that spans the entire county. It provides connectivity between several major highways, including I-35, TH 65 and TH 47. The average ADT is 8,300 and is expected to increase, due to the potential for economic development and planned growth in the area.

The project is currently in the Design Phase.  Construction is currently anticipated to be in 2024.
