Women, Infants & Children (WIC)

The WIC phones are typically answered Monday - Friday from 8 am - 4:00 pm. Please call 763-324-4230. Many services can be completed over the phone. Please refer to the Current WIC Participant page for updated information regarding any changes in WIC phone hours of operation.

What is WIC?

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides supplemental foods, health care referrals, breastfeeding support, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk.

For those who qualify, WIC provides nutrition and breastfeeding counseling, referrals for health care, and electronic benefits for nutritious foods that can be obtained at approved grocery stores that will exchange WIC benefits for approved foods. Now including more fruits and vegetables!

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) 

What is SNAP? 

SNAP offers nutrition assistance to millions of eligible, low-income individuals and families and provides economic benefits to communities. The Food and Nutrition Service works with State agencies, nutrition educators, and neighborhood and faith-based organizations to ensure that those eligible for nutrition assistance can make informed decisions about applying for the program and can access benefits.
