Project Summary
Project Background/Description
This project consists of the teardown and replacement of the Seelye Brook Bridge, at CSAH 7 (Rum River Boulevard) between 218th Avenue NW and 219th Avenue NW. This timber bridge was originally built in 1984 and is being replaced with a prestressed concrete beam bridge. This project will involve a full closure of Rum River Boulevard at the Seelye Brook crossing north of 218th Avenue NW, starting on March 9th for three months. Anoka County is working in partnership with the City of Oak Grove.

Project Updates
As of April 2, 2026
This Week's Update: The contractor poured the north abutment barrel and wingwall section. They continued to set forms and install steel reinforcements in the south abutment. Lastly, they set forms and install steel reinforcements in the retaining wall footing.
Next Week: The contractor will strip form, backfill and install riprap at the north abutment. They will pour the second half of the south abutment, backfill and install riprap at the south abutment.
