Project Schedule

  • Preliminary Design - October 2025-January 2026
  • Final Design - February 2026-May 2026
  • Construction - August 2026-November 2026


Project Background/Description

This project consists of construction of a new signal system at the intersection of 109th Avenue and Tournament Players Parkway / Mankato Street, as well as signal and turn lane improvements at the existing 109th Avenue and Radisson Road signalized intersection.  This project is in preparation of expected detours for the adjacent Highway 65 interchange projects.  Anoka County is working in partnership with the City of Blaine and MnDOT.

Below is an overview of the open house schedule:

  • First Public Open House – February 2026
    • 4-6 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026 
    • Clover Leaf Room, Blaine City Hall, 10801 Town Square Dr. NE, Blaine, MN 55449
  • Virtual Open House Website (www.Radissonat109.com)  
    • If you are not able to attend the in-person open house, we still want to hear from you! Check out the online storyboard website for a background of the project and preliminary schedule. We invite you to add any comments you think we should consider.
  • Second Public Open House (if needed) – Summer 2026



Project Updates

As of April 1, 2026
This project is tentatively scheduled for late August, 2026.  An open house was held on February 11 at the Blaine City Hall. The 60% plans have been reviewed and returned to the project’s consultant team, with 95% plans expected in March.
