Project Schedule

  • Final Design - March 2025-December 2025
  • Construction - August 2026-September 2026

Project Summary

Project Background/Description
This project will replace the aging traffic signal at the intersection of CSAH 32/1 (85th Avenue NE/County Road J) and CSAH 17/51 (Lexington Avenue). The work is a collaborative effort between Ramsey County and the cities of Blaine and Shoreview.

The new signal system will be upgraded to meet current ADA and APS (Accessible Pedestrian Signal) standards, improving accessibility and safety for all users.

To enhance traffic operations, a dedicated eastbound left turn lane will be striped within the existing gore area. Modifications to the curb radius in the northwest quadrant will be made to accommodate this new turn lane.

These improvements are scheduled for implementation in 2026, ahead of a separate county‑led mill and overlay on CSAH 32.

Project Update
