Heinrich grew up in Coon Rapids, lives in Anoka, and is married with three children. He served as a state legislator for two terms in District 35A, representing the cities of Anoka and Ramsey. Heinrich is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having completed two tours of duty in Iraq in 2003 and 2004. He helps run a local asphalt paving and concrete company and has enjoyed volunteering for various local organizations over the years including Stepping Stone Emergency Housing, Haven for Heroes, the Anoka County Community Mission, and he takes part in various church initiatives.
