The Curiosity Kitchen is a mobile kitchen program offered by Anoka County Libraries. The program uses Charlie Carts - compact, mobile kitchens - to allow kids to connect food and cooking with math, English language arts, science, and social studies concepts while having fun. Each month kids make a different themed recipe. For questions about potential allergens, please contact the Crooked Lake Library at 763-324-1530. Grades 2-3.

Fare For All
The Food Group's cooperative purchasing program that offers affordable groceries, including fresh fruit, vegetables, and meat, for up to 40% off retail prices. Fare for All has 38 locations throughout Minnesota where food packages are sold once per month. No registration required. They accept credit, cash, debit, or SNAP/EBT for payment. Nutrition Assistance Program for Seniors (NAPS)
Eligible seniors (60+) receive a box of USDA commodity shelf stable foods including canned fruits, vegetables, meat, and grains. Call 651-484-8241 for eligibility and to find a location.
Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
Healthy food, nutrition counseling, and breastfeeding support for pregnant/post-partum women, infants, and children ages 0-5 years. Peer breastfeeding counselors are available to provide support. Call the Anoka County WIC program at 763-324-4230, Monday - Friday from 8:00am-4:00pm. Can also text AnokaWIC to 61222 to determine eligibility.

New mothers often need good information to get started and keep going. Mothers also need support from their employer, health care providers, schools and child care providers if they are to be successful.
