Project Summary

Project Background/Description
This project consists of the reconstruction of Baugh Street NW (County Highway 22) from 181st Avenue NW (County Road 64) to Viking Boulevard NW (County Road 65). This project will consider corridor safety, traffic accommodations, and intersection geometrics. Other project elements will include turn lanes, paved shoulders, storm water treatment, and other associated safety improvements. Anoka County is working in partnership with the City of Nowthen.

Below is an overview of the open house schedule: 

  • Public Open House No. 1 – September 11, 2024
  • Public Open House No. 2 - October 13, 2025


Project Updates

As of April 1, 2026
Utility relocation coordination continues; tree removal is complete. Construction is scheduled to begin May 4, with the first stage from 181st Avenue to 188th Avenue.
