Anoka County is committed to maintaining public trust and upholding its mission of being respectful, innovative, and fiscally responsible. As part of this commitment, the county works diligently to prevent, detect, and address fraud in Minnesota’s public assistance and social services programs.

The Social Services team supports some of the county’s most vulnerable residents, helping them remain in their homes and live productive lives. These programs are a vital safety net, and recent reports of fraud statewide raise concerns about potential impacts on services for seniors and people with disabilities.

While Anoka County does not oversee the contracts or funding that is the source of the recent reports on fraud, the county does play a part in fraud prevention –– this role is taken very seriously, and the county is committed to program integrity.  This includes:
