Are at least 16 and will be at least 18 years old on or before the day of the election in which you intend to vote
Are a citizen of the United States
Will have resided in Minnesota for 20 days immediately preceding election day
Maintain residence at the address given on the registration form
Are not under court-ordered guardianship in which the court order revokes my right to vote
Have not been found by a court to be legally incompetent to vote
Am not currently incarcerated for a conviction of a felony offense
And have read and understand this statement, that giving false information is a felony punishable by not more than 5 years imprisonment or a fine of not more than $10,000, or both

Registering or Updating Your Voter Registration Before Election Day
Voters are encouraged to register prior to Election Day. If you are currently registered but have moved recently, changed your name, or have not voted in the last four years, it is recommended that you update your registration as well.
Registering is quick and easy and can be done using any of the methods below that work best for you.
In person at the Anoka County Elections Office or at any city or town hall in Anoka County
When you apply for or renew your driver's license
The deadline to pre-register is three weeks prior to the election. Voters that miss this deadline will need to register on election day.
