I am an Anoka County resident.
Anoka County Library cards are available at all Anoka County libraries and by applying online. You must be an Anoka County resident to get an Anoka County Library card.
There are two ways to get or renew your Anoka County Library card:
- Visit any Anoka County Library branch with a valid Minnesota ID or other proof of address OR
- Submit an online application: Apply or Renew Online
- If you fill out an online application, you will receive a library card number that has all the same privileges as a physical library card, but you will not receive a physical card unless you request one at a library in person.
- Renewing your card? Your address and contact information must match what is currently listed on your library account in order to renew online.
I am a Minnesota resident in a different county.
Most* Minnesota residents outside of Anoka County can register their home library card to use with Anoka County Library.
- Get a library card from your home library system.
- Bring your library card, photo ID, and proof of address to any Anoka County Library service desk to register with our system.
*There are a few Minnesota libraries that are not part of regional library systems with reciprocal access. If you live in Clarkfield, Crosby, East Grand Forks, or Taylors Falls, see the Non-Residents section for details.
I am part of an Anoka County organization or school that would like to borrow materials.
The following organizations in Anoka County are eligible for organization cards:

I don't fit any of these categories, but would like a non-resident card.
If you are not a Minnesota resident or your public library is not a member of one of the Minnesota regional library systems, you may obtain an annual Anoka County Library card for a $60 annual fee.
This includes residents of Clarkfield, Crosby, East Grand Forks, and Taylors Falls.
Non-resident applications must be completed in person.
